Come and see the Snowy Mountains in full bloom.

Spring is such a wonderful time in the Snowy Mountains!聽The warmer weather starts to creep in and with that comes the beautiful alpine wildflowers. The wildflower microclimates put on a vibrant display of over 21 different varieties of flora and are available to explore from the 1st of December to the 1st of February, with the best viewing taking place between mid-December and mid-January. This is a must do experience for any who is coming to the mountains this Summer.

Walking tracks:

Any of the walking tracks available in the Kosciuszko National Park will give you the opportunity to see this amazing display of flora. Charlottes Pass is accessible by car during spring and summer, and provides access to the Blue Lake Walk and the Snow Gum Walk. These are both fantastic options for those who are less mobile or seeking a low difficulty alpine wildflower adventure.

For the more adventurous hiker, we suggest the Kosciuszko Summit walk which you can choose to begin from Thredbo Village and walk your way up the mountain, or for a more relaxed experience bring the family and take the shortcut up the mountain via the Kosciuszko Chairlift! Majority of the Kosciuszko Summit Walk is on a mesh walkway that was installed to protect the surrounding alpine landscape from erosion. Follow the walkway and it will take you to past Rams Head Range, Lake Cootapatamba, Seaman’s Hut, and breathtaking microclimates abundant with alpine wildflowers in full bloom.
